Lead Carpenter — Decks & Residential Remodeling
Icon Builders LLC | Eagan, MN | Twin Cities projects
Pay: $25–$40/hour, based on experience

Icon Builders is hiring a lead carpenter to help run residential projects across the Twin Cities. Decks are our main focus, with porch and remodeling work throughout the year.

We’re looking for someone who can lay out work accurately, build alongside the crew, keep a job moving, and spot problems before they become costly. You’ll work directly with the owner and have a real voice in how projects get built.

What you’ll do

• Lead hands-on deck, porch, and remodeling work
• Read plans and lay out framing, stairs, decking, and railings
• Direct crew members and coordinate daily work
• Track materials, maintain a clean jobsite, and communicate progress
• Take pride in finished work and customer experience

What we’re looking for

• Strong residential carpentry experience
• Experience leading at least a small crew or running jobs
• Ability to read plans and solve field issues
• Reliable transportation and the ability to get to Twin Cities jobsites
• Clear communication and dependable attendance

Deck building experience is strongly preferred. Experience with composite decking, aluminum railings, siding, windows, or porch construction is a plus.

To apply, email [email protected] with your name, phone number, years of experience, the types of projects you’ve led, and a few photos of your work if you have them. Use “Lead Carpenter” in the subject line.
