Trusted Home Remodel & Handyman Services LLCEugene–Springfield, Oregon
About Us
Trusted Home Remodel & Handyman Services LLC is a growing residential remodeling company serving Eugene, Springfield, and surrounding communities. Our projects include kitchens, bathrooms, decks, fences, siding, structural repairs, flooring, drywall, painting, and general residential improvements.
We take pride in quality craftsmanship, honest communication, clean jobsites, and doing what we say we will do. We are looking for an experienced lead carpenter who can help us maintain those standards as our workload and crew continue to grow.
Position Overview
This is a working lead carpenter position for someone who can both perform skilled construction work and take responsibility for keeping a project moving.
The right candidate will be able to review a scope of work, plan the day, identify material and tool needs, direct a helper or small crew, communicate problems promptly, and complete work with limited supervision.
This is not an entry-level position. We need someone dependable enough to be trusted with clients, company tools, and potentially a company vehicle.
Responsibilities
- Lead residential remodeling and repair projects from demolition through finish work
- Perform framing, structural repairs, siding, decking, fencing, drywall, painting, flooring, trim, and finish carpentry
- Read plans, follow written scopes, perform layout, and determine material needs
- Organize daily work and provide direction to apprentices or other crew members
- Identify concealed damage, scope conflicts, and change-order work before proceeding
- Communicate clearly with the owner, clients, crew members, and subcontractors
- Provide accurate progress updates and jobsite documentation
- Maintain clean, organized, and professional jobsites
- Protect clients’ homes and personal property
- Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicles responsibly
- Follow jobsite safety procedures and applicable residential construction standards
- Produce quality work without requiring constant supervision
Required Qualifications
- At least five years of hands-on residential construction or remodeling experience
- Strong framing, layout, measuring, cutting, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with multiple phases of remodeling—not only one specialized trade
- Ability to independently plan and complete assigned scopes of work
- Ability to lead helpers or a small crew productively and respectfully
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable attendance and consistent on-time arrival
- Clear communication and a professional attitude around clients
- Valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record
- Ability to safely lift and carry construction materials and perform physical work throughout the day
- Personal basic hand tools appropriate for an experienced carpenter
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with kitchens, bathrooms, siding, decks, structural repairs, and occupied-home remodeling
- Drywall finishing, painting, flooring, tile, and finish-carpentry experience
- Experience creating material lists and coordinating daily production
- Experience supervising or training less-experienced employees
- Ability to recognize when plumbing, electrical, engineering, or other specialized work requires coordination
Schedule
- Approximately 30–40 hours per week, depending on project workload
- Primarily weekday work
- Start times and jobsite schedules must be followed consistently
- Work is performed throughout Eugene, Springfield, and nearby communities, with occasional projects in surrounding areas
Pay and Equipment
- $28–$35 per hour, based on demonstrated experience, leadership ability, and independence
- Higher compensation is reserved for candidates who can reliably lead projects with minimal supervision
- Larger and specialized tools are provided as required for company projects
- A company vehicle may be assigned after reliability, driving eligibility, and responsible equipment handling have been demonstrated
Why Join Trusted Home Remodel?
- Consistent variety—our work is not limited to one repetitive scope
- Opportunity to grow with an expanding local remodeling company
- Direct access to the owner and straightforward communication
- Opportunity to take responsibility and advance based on demonstrated ability
- Respect for quality craftsmanship, good judgment, and dependable work
