Lead Carpenter

We are seeking self-motivated, reliable, and hard working team players. The employees we work with stay busy and we work with them to find the right jobs that fit their schedule and expertise. Ideal candidates are looking for a part-time to full-time commitment and are ready to develop skills! Applicants must have some previous experience in remodeling or construction work.

A strong applicant is a professional with some experience and can provide their own equipment. They must be dependable and able to communicate effectively with our team about job status and expected completion dates, as well as with the customer onsite as needed. We provide on-site training to help team members learn and grow on our team.

We are looking for full-time individuals with experience or interest in learning in the following areas:

• Installation of flooring (Hardwoods and Engineered Hardwood, LVP or LVT, Laminate)
• General handyman skills necessary for installations and/or repairs at job sites
• Carpentry skills and experience with interior trim work
• Building and installing cabinets or built-in shelving
• Construction of decks, screened porches or pergolas
• Confirming required materials are onsite or expected before scheduled work begins.
• Notify the Project Manager of missing, damaged, incorrect, or delayed materials.
• Assisting with receiving and verifying materials when needed.
• Helping ensure materials are stored appropriately and protected from damage.
• Verifying jobsite readiness before the arrival of the next scheduled trade.
• Identifying material or product questions that require clarification from the Project Manager, client, designer, vendor, or other team member.
• It's helpful to have basic hand tools available, and Redbird will provide any additional or specialized tools for our projects.

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include:

• Residential remodeling or construction experience.
• Familiarity with multiple residential construction trades.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings, scopes of work, and product information.
• Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to recognize quality-control concerns and feasibility of projects
• Strong interpersonal skills when working with homeowners and trade partners.
• Ability to communicate clearly through phone, email, text

It's helpful to have basic hand tools available, and Redbird will provide any additional or specialized tools for our projects.

Applicants should be able to lift up to 80 pounds. Pay is negotiable, based on experience, and there's a lot of room to grow to more projects and hours for a high performer.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
