Lead Carpenter

Overview

TightLine Construction is seeking a skilled, reliable, and motivated Lead Carpenter to join our team. This key role involves managing on-site operations, executing complex carpentry tasks, and mentoring apprentice carpenters. The ideal candidate takes pride in delivering high-quality work and has strong leadership abilities to bring both residential and commercial projects from framing to finish to successful completion.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to high standards of quality.
• Execute a wide range of carpentry tasks, including framing, finishing, and detailed craftsmanship for residential and commercial projects.
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and team members to maintain smooth workflow.
• Lead and mentor apprentice carpenters, providing guidance and training to develop their skills.
• Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, building codes, and project specifications.
• Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure project goals are met on time and within scope.
• Maintain a clean and organized job site throughout the project lifecycle.

Experience

• Proven experience as a carpenter with a strong portfolio of residential and commercial projects.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with experience supervising or mentoring team members or apprentices.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and building plans.
• Strong knowledge of safety protocols, building codes, and industry best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
