Lead Carpenter

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Carpenter to oversee and execute high-quality carpentry projects across various construction sites. As a Lead Carpenter, you will play a pivotal role in managing skilled tradespeople, interpreting technical drawings, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. Duties

• Lead and supervise carpentry crews, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and project timelines.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute construction plans.
• Perform and oversee a variety of carpentry tasks including framing, trim carpentry, drywall installation, stucco application, siding, and remodeling.
• Manage metal stud framing, rebar installation for concrete structures, and metal building erection with precision.
• Operate power tools and heavy equipment safely while maintaining proper use of hand tools for detailed craftsmanship.
• Coordinate with project managers and other trades to ensure seamless integration of all construction phases.
• Conduct quality control inspections on all work performed; troubleshoot issues promptly to maintain project standards.
• Measure dimensions accurately using tape measures and other tools; perform basic math calculations for precise cuts and installations.
• Assist in interpreting construction plans and schematics; adjust work plans as needed based on site conditions or design changes.
• Support concrete forming, finishing, masonry work, plastering, roofing, and restoration tasks as required by project scope.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction with a strong background in carpentry disciplines such as framing, trim work, drywall, roofing, masonry, and siding.
• Demonstrated expertise in metal building erection, rebar installation, concrete forming and finishing.
• Skilled in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings or schematics.
• Proficient with hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and measuring devices like tape measures.
• Knowledge of construction management principles with the ability to lead teams effectively on-site.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during complex tasks like steel framing or restoration projects.
• Strong understanding of safety standards across construction sites; committed to maintaining a safe working environment.
• Basic math skills necessary for dimensional measurements and calculations essential for precise craftsmanship.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and interpret technical instructions clearly.

Pay: From $35.00 per hour
