Lead Carpenter/Project Manager - Wayne, PA

Eight Chestnut, LLC is a residential construction company operating on the Main Line. We specialize in additions, kitchens, one room remodels, and whole house renovation projects. Our office is located in Wayne, PA and our projects generally span from Malvern to Gladwyne. We consistently cater to discerning and refined clients, who appreciate a high level of customer service and quality craftsmanship. We typically work with the classic older area homes, where matching existing original finishes is required.

Eight Chestnut, LLC is looking for a skilled Lead Carpenter/Project Manager to manage residential projects, work closely with clients and other trade professionals, as well as perform physical construction duties; including but not limited to demolition, rough framing, finish interior and exterior carpentry, cabinetry installation, and custom built-in cabinetry fabrication. Responsible for customer satisfaction, material take-offs and orders, jobsite supervision (including protection, cleanliness, and safety), carpentry labor, supervising and scheduling subcontractors, inspections, paperwork, and marketing efforts.

Requirements:

• ‪8+ years of construction & renovation experience with 3+ years in Lead Carpenter (management) level position.
• 5+ years of interior finish carpentry experience.
• ‪Professional, hard worker, detail oriented, & punctual.
• ‪Ability to communicate and work well with others.
• Ensure company and customer satisfaction through professional appearance, expert workmanship, and polite communication.
• ‪Ability to plan, organize, and schedule materials and labor for projects.
• Develop and maintain construction schedule, write subcontractor agreements, and client change orders.
• Complete understanding of and ability to read architectural plans.
• ‪Maintain complete set of tools (hand tools, power tools, air tools, etc.), safety equipment and vehicle.
• Proficient with computer and smart phone.
• ‪Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 80 pounds and climb ladders safely.
• ‪Required education; High school or equivalent. College or Trade School degree a plus.
• ‪Submit to a background screening check and pass a drug test.
