Lead Carpenter/Supervisor

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Carpenter/Supervisor to oversee construction projects from start to finish, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency. This role involves managing skilled carpenters and tradespeople, coordinating project schedules, and maintaining strict adherence to construction regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, and extensive residential construction site experience. As a key leader on-site, you will drive project success through effective crew management, quality control, and safety oversight, all while fostering a collaborative team environment.

Duties

• Lead and supervise carpentry teams and subcontractors to execute project plans efficiently and safely
• Review construction drawings, schematics, and technical documents to ensure accurate interpretation and implementation.
• Manage daily site operations, including material procurement, equipment use, and safety compliance in accordance with OSHA standards
• Oversee quality control measures to ensure work meets design specifications and industry standards
• Enforce construction safety regulations and federal safety standards to maintain a secure work environment
• Supervise crew performance, provide mentorship, and manage team workflows for optimal productivity

Requirements

• Proven experience in heavy commercial or industrial construction projects with a focus on carpentry supervision
• Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, technical drawings, and interpreting construction plans
• Familiarity with construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6 or Primavera P3, Prolog, HeavyBid or similar tools
• Extensive site supervision experience with a solid understanding of OSHA regulations and federal construction safety standards
• Ability to coordinate complex construction schedules and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Excellent communication skills for managing teams effectively and liaising with clients or project stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, perform construction estimating, and oversee quality control processes
• Valid certifications such as OSHA safety training; additional certifications in construction management or related fields are preferred
• Knowledge of heavy equipment operation using tools like ohmmeters for electrical testing is a plus
• Construction site experience in commercial or industrial settings with a focus on managing teams in fast-paced environments

Pay: $29.57 - $50.00 per hour
