Lead Cloud and Data Security Engineer

For our client, we are seeking a Lead Cloud and Data Security Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Manufacturing & Automotive space.

This role will drive enterprise security architecture and controls with a focus on cloud environments and data protection. The position will partner closely with technology and business stakeholders to reduce risk, strengthen compliance, and improve the security posture across global operations. You will also lead complex security initiatives, respond to incidents, and help ensure effective remediation for high-priority issues.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $127,700 – $191,500 annually

Responsibilities

• Research, design, and implement enterprise security solutions
• Establish security configurations and controls for cloud architectures
• Lead large global security projects and delegate tasks effectively
• Act as an escalation point for security incidents and manage response efforts
• Prepare final remediation plans for complex security issues

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience in IT, including 5 years in security
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, CISM, or Cloud Security Alliance preferred
• Expertise in IT systems, processes, and controls
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 security and compliance
• Understanding of financial and IT risk management and compliance
• Strong project management and technical leadership skills
