Lead CMS Engineer .NET Core

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop RESTful APIs using ASP.NET Core and C#.
• Develop responsive, component-based user interfaces using Angular.
• Lead the architecture, design, and development of .NET-based CMS solutions, with a focus on Orchard Core (modules, content types, workflows, and headless APIs)
• Provide technical leadership to the engineering team through code reviews, mentoring, and setting coding and quality standards
• Implement customized CMS themes, templates, and plugins as per business requirements
• Ensure website performance, security, and scalability
• Troubleshoot CMS issues and provide technical support
• Manage workflows, permissions, and version control within the CMS
• Conduct regular content audits and maintain content quality standards
• Integrate third-party tools, APIs, and analytics platforms
• Monitor website performance using tools like Google Analytics, Grafana

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, or a Masters degree in Computer Applications
• Extensive experience with Content Management Systems (CMS), including hands-on experience developing and customizing CMS platforms built on .NET technology (e.g., Orchard Core, Umbraco, Sitecore, Kentico, Optimizely)
• CMS experience must be on .NET-based platforms; experience limited to PHP-based CMS platforms (e.g., Drupal, WordPress) does not meet the requirements of this role
• Strong experience with C#, ASP.NET Core, and .NET 6/7/8
• Knowledge of Angular (15+), TypeScript, RxJS, HTML5, and CSS3 (basic to intermediate level)
• Experience with Microsoft Azure
• Solid understanding of CMS back-end concepts such as content modelling, multi-tenancy, caching, and publishing workflows
• Experience with website performance optimization and debugging
• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with Orchard Core CMS (highly preferred)
• Experience with headless CMS architectures and content delivery APIs
• Familiarity with UX/UI principles
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Certification in relevant CMS platforms (optional but beneficial)
