Position Overview

As a Lead Commercial HVAC Installer , you will oversee complex installation projects, lead field crews, and ensure systems are installed correctly, safely, and efficiently. This role blends technical expertise with field leadership , offering the opportunity to take ownership of job sites and mentor the next generation of installers.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead installation of commercial HVAC systems, including:

• Rooftop Units (RTUs)

• Chillers and boilers

• VRF/VRV systems

• Full ductwork systems

• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings

• Supervise, mentor, and motivate installation crews

• Ensure all work meets safety codes, quality standards, and project specifications

• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trades

• Troubleshoot and resolve job site challenges in real time

• Train and develop junior technicians and apprentices

• Track progress, maintain documentation, and communicate updates

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years of commercial HVAC installation experience

• Proven experience leading installation crews

• Strong knowledge of:

• RTUs, chillers, boilers, and duct systems

• HVAC controls and mechanical systems

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

• EPA 608 Universal Certification (required)

• OSHA certification (preferred)

• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

• High school diploma or GED

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and move up to 100 lbs
• Work at heights and in confined spaces
• Frequent climbing, bending, kneeling, and standing
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions
