Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Cook to join our culinary team in Wilmington, DE. The Lead Cook will oversee kitchen operations, ensure food quality and consistency, and assist in menu planning. This role requires strong leadership skills, culinary expertise, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily kitchen activities to ensure smooth operations.
• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards.
• Train, mentor, and support kitchen staff to maintain high performance and teamwork.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Assist with inventory management, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste.
• Collaborate with management to develop new menu items and specials.
• Ensure timely and efficient food preparation during service hours.
• Monitor food presentation and portion control to maintain consistency.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a cook, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety, and sanitation standards.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent; culinary degree or certification is a plus.
