Lead Cook

Social at the Stone House is seeking an experienced, dependable Lead Cook to join our back-of-house team. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who is confident working every station in the kitchen and has previous kitchen management or leadership experience.

The ideal candidate is a strong line cook who can lead by example, keep the kitchen organized, maintain consistency and quality, and help ensure smooth, efficient service.

Responsibilities include:

• Work and confidently manage all kitchen stations, including grill/broil, sauté, fry and pantry
• Lead the kitchen team during service and help maintain a positive, professional work environment
• Ensure consistency in food quality, presentation and portioning
• Assist with prep organization and daily kitchen readiness
• Monitor food handling, sanitation and cleanliness standards
• Help manage ticket times and kitchen flow during busy services
• Assist with inventory, food waste and cost-control procedures
• Train and support back-of-house team members
• Communicate effectively with ownership and front-of-house management

Qualifications:

• Strong line-cooking experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant
• Previous kitchen leadership or management experience
• Ability to work every station and step in wherever needed
• Strong organizational, communication and problem-solving skills
• Dependable, professional and able to remain calm under pressure

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
