About the Opportunity

Our client, a leading organisation in the mining sector, is establishing a Group Performance Reporting capability to enhance visibility of operational and financial performance across the business.

We are seeking an experienced ‘ Lead – Data & Insights’ to drive reporting, analytics, dashboarding and performance insights that support executive decision-making. The successful candidate will work closely with Finance, Operations and business leaders to transform data into meaningful insights, improve reporting effectiveness, and support planning, budgeting and cost management initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of enterprise-wide performance reporting and analytics.
• Translate complex operational and financial data into actionable business insights.
• Design, implement and maintain executive dashboards and management reporting packs.
• Establish reporting standards, governance and data quality practices.
• Partner with Finance teams to support budgeting, forecasting and planning processes.
• Analyse cost performance, operational trends and key business drivers.
• Drive reporting automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support executive leadership with performance monitoring and strategic decision-making.
• Facilitate stakeholder engagements to gather reporting requirements and align reporting solutions to business needs.
• Provide insights into key operational, financial and productivity metrics across the organisation.
• Collaborate with data, technology and business teams to enhance reporting capabilities.
• Promote a data-driven culture through effective reporting and performance management practices.

Minimum Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field.
• Relevant postgraduate qualification will be advantageous.

Experience

• 8+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, performance reporting or management reporting.
• Proven experience in a leadership or senior analytics role.
• Strong experience within mining, resources, manufacturing, heavy industry or similarly complex operational environments.
• Demonstrated experience supporting budgeting, forecasting and cost management processes.
• Experience translating financial and operational data into business insights for senior stakeholders.
• Strong stakeholder management and executive engagement capabilities.
