Lead Data Architect Contractor

Job Title: Senior Data Architect w/ Microsoft Fabric

Location: Dublin / Hybrid

Day Rate : DOE (High)

Duration: 6+ months (rolling)

We are partnering with a leading organisation undergoing a significant data transformation and are seeking an experienced Senior Data Architect to play a key role in shaping their future data landscape.

This is not a traditional architecture role. We are looking for someone who combines deep technical expertise with strong strategic thinking and exceptional stakeholder engagement skills.

You'll be responsible for defining and delivering enterprise-scale data architecture, leading architecture discussions with senior business and technology stakeholders, and driving the adoption of modern data product principles across the organisation.

Day-to-day:

• Lead the design and delivery of enterprise-wide data architecture and target-state solutions
• Shape the wider solution architecture and ensure alignment across business and technology domains
• Design and implement scalable data products that deliver measurable business outcomes
• Define and govern data flows, integration patterns, data products and architectural standards
• Drive the adoption of modern data-as-a-product principles, ownership models and governance frameworks
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, influencing strategic decisions and technology roadmaps
• Challenge and shape architectural decisions across complex transformation programmes
• Ensure business requirements are translated into scalable, future-proof data solutions

Requirements:

We are specifically seeking candidates who can demonstrate all of the following:

• Significant hands-on experience delivering Microsoft Fabric solutions within large enterprise environments
• Proven ownership of end-to-end data architecture, including integration with broader enterprise and solution architecture
• Practical experience designing and implementing Data as a Product, including governance, ownership and business value realisation
• Strong experience designing and implementing Data flows/products/platforms and more
• Expertise operating across complex enterprise environments with multiple stakeholders and technology domains
• Outstanding stakeholder management skills

Essential Experience

To be considered, your background should clearly demonstrate:

• Microsoft Fabric implementation experience, including your personal contribution and leadership responsibilities
• Delivery of large-scale data architecture programmes
• Ownership of architecture strategy from design through implementation
• Data product design, governance and operating model experience
• Enterprise architecture and solution architecture engagement
• Experience working directly with senior client stakeholders and executive teams
