Lead Data Migration & Integration Expert

Our client is a UK-based Microsoft Partner and a leading provider of Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE, Kentico, and Umbraco solutions for the non-profit sector.

With around 75 employees and well over 150 successful projects delivered for membership associations, institutes, regulators, trade unions and charities, the company has achieved over 50% growth in the last two years and continues to expand across every department.

As part of this growth, we are recruiting on its behalf a Lead Data Migration & Integration Expert M/F based in Slavenia , working remotely from Slovenia with ad hoc office visits, who will join a development team of around 20 people.

Responsibilities:

The Lead Data Migration & Integration Expert is responsible for planning and executing data migrations into Microsoft Dataverse, while driving data integration, business intelligence, and automation initiatives across the organisation.

Working closely with IT, business analysts, and end-users, this role plays a central part in ensuring data accuracy, seamless integration, and meaningful insight across enterprise-grade systems.

Key responsibilities:

Data Migration

• Plan, execute, and manage data migration projects from diverse data sources (SQL, Oracle, Excel, etc.) to Microsoft Dataverse.
• Develop and implement data migration strategies ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and security.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data migration issues, optimising the process for efficiency.

Dataverse Expertise

• Serve as the in-house expert on Microsoft Dataverse, ensuring best practices and optimal use of the platform.
• Provide guidance and support on Dataverse-related projects and initiatives.

Microsoft Fabric & Power BI Expertise

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to support business intelligence needs.
• Utilise Microsoft Fabric to enhance data modelling and reporting capabilities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective data visualisations.
• Optimise Power BI performance and ensure data accuracy in reports.

Power Automate & Azure Logic Apps Integration

• Implement and manage data integration solutions using Power Automate and Azure Logic Apps to ensure seamless data flow between systems and applications.
• Automate workflows and processes to enhance operational efficiency.
• Ensure data consistency and synchronisation across different platforms.

Collaboration & Communication

• Work closely with cross-functional teams including IT, business analysts, and end-users to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
• Provide training and support to team members and stakeholders on data migration and integration processes.
• Document procedures, configurations, and best practices for data migration and integration activities.

Continuous Improvement

• Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in data migration, integration, and business intelligence.
• Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and implement innovative solutions.

Candidate Profile:

Certifications & Experience

• Microsoft certifications in Dataverse, Power BI, Power Automate, and/or Azure Logic Apps.
• Proven experience in data migration projects, specifically with Microsoft Dataverse.
• Strong proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and report/dashboard creation.
• Expertise in Microsoft Fabric and data integration techniques.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Power Automate and Azure Logic Apps for workflow automation and data integration.
• Solid understanding of relational databases and SQL.
• Experience with other BI tools and data platforms (e.g., Tableau, Snowflake).
• Knowledge of cloud computing platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure.
