Lead Data Migration - Archival - DR Engineer

For our client, we are seeking a Lead Data Migration - Archival - DR Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.

This role will lead critical data migration, archival, and disaster recovery initiatives across cloud-based environments. The ideal candidate will help shape governance standards, support reporting and analytics capabilities, and ensure resilient data operations for mixed system support. In close partnership with technical and compliance stakeholders, this position will strengthen data quality, continuity, and high-availability architecture.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $128,039 – $173,229 annually

Responsibilities

• Support cloud-based data platform implementation for reporting and analytics
• Develop and document data migration strategies and governance standards
• Engineer multi-tenant cloud environments for mixed system support
• Lead activities to ensure compliance with federal data governance standards
• Design and implement disaster recovery strategies and standard operating procedures

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in information systems, including 8+ years specialized in data architecture and engineering
• Deep experience in AWS data services and application design patterns
• Demonstrated ability to develop data migration and archival strategies
• Hands-on experience with disaster recovery and high-availability architecture
• Strong skills in SQL, NoSQL, GraphDB, and data quality techniques
