Lead Data Scientist

Responsibilities

1. Design and build AI/ML based solutions to solve complex business problems related to customer propensity, personalization, recommendation, risk and under-writing.
2. Involved in the whole process of development - End to end algorithm development, implementation and testing of the solutions as per the requirements.
3. Responsible for design related and algorithmic innovations.
4. Work with LLMs, Generative AI, RAG and AI-powered applications to solve real-world business problems.
5. Explore and build Agentic AI use cases, including AI agents capable of reasoning, planning, tool/API usage, workflow orchestration and autonomous execution of business tasks.
6. Conduct technology research and rapid prototyping across emerging areas in Machine Learning, Generative AI and the broader AI ecosystem.
7. Work closely with product, business, engineering and data teams to translate business requirements into scalable data/AI solutions.
8. Contribute to building reusable ML/AI components, frameworks and best practices that enable deployment of solutions at scale.
9. Continuously evaluate new algorithms, models, tools and techniques and contribute to capability building within the Data Science organization.

Qualifications –

1. B.Tech or MS in Computer Science / Statistics / Applied Mathematics.
2. Deep understanding of Statistical Analysis, Modeling and Machine Learning algorithms.
3. Overall 6-10 years of experience in data science with exposure to fintech / digital lending industry. Experience in designing and deploying ML models and prediction pipelines.
4. Good command over Python including machine learning libraries.
5. Experience with SQL, Hive and pyspark.
6. Ability to contribute to multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast-paced, collaborative and iterative environment.
