Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable, organized, and hands-on IT Deployment Site Lead to support workstation deployments, IT disconnect/reconnect projects, office relocations, and technical setup projects throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth area.

This is a working lead position that reports to the Project Manager. The Site Lead is responsible for coordinating on-site deployment technicians while actively participating in the technical work alongside the team.

The ideal candidate has hands-on workstation deployment experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to keep a small deployment team organized, productive, and focused on quality in fast-paced commercial environments.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the on-site lead for assigned IT deployment and disconnect/reconnect projects.
  • Lead, coordinate, and work alongside deployment technicians to complete the assigned scope of work.
  • Review project instructions, site requirements, and priorities with the Project Manager.
  • Assign and coordinate technician tasks based on project needs and site conditions.
  • Monitor team productivity, workmanship, and project progress.
  • Provide project status updates to the Project Manager throughout the deployment.
  • Escalate scope changes, delays, equipment problems, site issues, or additional client requests to the Project Manager as appropriate.
  • Maintain professional on-site communication with client representatives, IT personnel, facilities teams, movers, and other vendors.
  • Perform and oversee workstation disconnect/reconnect and deployment activities, including:
  • Desktop and laptop systems
  • Single and dual-monitor configurations
  • Docking stations
  • Keyboards and mice
  • Webcams and other workstation peripherals
  • Phones when included in the project scope
  • Assist with monitor installation, mounting, and monitor-arm setup and adjustments.
  • Perform and oversee professional cable management and workstation presentation.
  • Verify proper equipment placement and basic workstation connectivity following setup.
  • Troubleshoot basic workstation, monitor, docking station, and peripheral setup issues within the approved project scope.
  • Identify and document damaged, missing, or nonfunctional equipment when encountered.
  • Ensure technicians follow project instructions, site requirements, safety expectations, and established deployment procedures.
  • Assist with required project documentation, including timesheets, completion notes, exceptions, and identified issues.
  • Participate in final quality checks and project walkthroughs as directed by the Project Manager.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, professional, and client-ready work environment throughout the project.

Qualifications

  • Previous hands-on experience with IT deployment, workstation setup, desktop support, IT disconnect/reconnect, or commercial office relocation preferred.
  • Previous Team Lead, Site Lead, Field Lead, or similar leadership experience preferred.
  • Ability to lead a small technical team while actively performing deployment work.
  • Working knowledge of desktops, laptops, monitors, docking stations, and common workstation peripherals.
  • Experience with single- and dual-monitor workstation configurations.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to follow a defined Scope of Work and recognize when a request may fall outside the approved project scope.
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic workstation and peripheral setup issues.
  • Comfortable working in active commercial office, relocation, and construction environments.
  • Ability to lift, carry, position, and install workstation equipment as required.
  • Professional demeanor and strong customer-service skills.
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to follow project-specific schedules.
  • Reliable transportation required.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience leading workstation deployment or commercial IT relocation teams.
  • Experience with monitor arms and multi-monitor workstation configurations.
  • Knowledge of professional cable-management practices.
  • Experience working alongside IT departments, facilities teams, movers, and other vendors.
  • Experience with field documentation and project reporting.
  • Comfortable using mobile communication and collaboration platforms such as Discord or Microsoft Teams.

Work Environment & Schedule

This is a project-based field position. Work schedules, project duration, and hours will vary based on client and project requirements.

Projects may include weekday, evening, early-morning, or weekend work. Some projects may require extended hours to meet client move or deployment schedules.

Work is primarily performed at commercial client locations throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth area, with potential opportunities for projects outside the local area.

The Site Lead should be comfortable working in active office environments and working alongside other project teams, including IT personnel, movers, facilities staff, and contractors.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who can lead and work.

The right candidate should be comfortable giving direction to a deployment team, maintaining quality and organization, communicating issues promptly, and stepping in to perform the same hands-on deployment work expected of the technicians.
