Lead Design Engineer - R&D (Skid, Modules)

Skid Design Engineer | 7–9 Years

Key Responsibilities

• Design industrial skids and modular equipment packages.
• Develop 3D models, assemblies and fabrication drawings using SolidWorks.
• Design skid frames, supports, base frames and lifting lugs.
• Perform structural calculations, weight estimation, CoG and lifting analysis.
• Integrate equipment, piping and vendor drawings into skid layouts.
• Prepare BOMs, material specifications and engineering documents.
• Coordinate with process, piping, electrical, procurement and fabrication teams.
• Provide technical support during fabrication, assembly and installation.
• Ensure designs meet project specifications, ASME/ISO standards and fabrication requirements.
• Optimize designs for cost, manufacturability and structural integrity.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 7–9 years of relevant skid/modular equipment design experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with SolidWorks – Part, Assembly, Drawing & Weldments.
• Good knowledge of structural steel, welding, fabrication and material selection.
• Experience with skid-mounted systems, HVAC, oil & gas or industrial equipment preferred.
• Knowledge of lifting loads, CoG and structural calculations.
• Familiarity with ASME / ISO standards.
• ANSYS/FEA and surface treatment knowledge is an advantage.

Pay: AED6,500.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
