Lead Designer

Job Summary

Sculpt Design is looking for a talented and experienced Lead Designer to lead the creative direction and execution of our interior design projects. The ideal candidate should have strong design judgement, excellent attention to detail and the ability to take a project from concept through to execution.

You will work closely with the Founder, clients, contractors and other members of the team to develop thoughtful, functional and visually compelling interior spaces.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design process for residential and commercial interior projects from concept to completion.
• Develop design concepts, mood boards, space plans, material selections and design presentations.
• Prepare and review drawings, layouts and other design documentation.
• Select furniture, finishes, fixtures, fabrics, colours and other design elements.
• Translate client requirements into practical and creative design solutions.
• Present concepts and design proposals to clients.
• Coordinate with contractors, artisans, suppliers and other project partners.
• Conduct site visits and monitor design implementation.
• Review samples, materials and finished work to ensure they meet the approved design.
• Manage multiple projects and ensure design deliverables are completed on schedule.
• Maintain high standards of quality and attention to detail.
• Guide and review the work of junior designers where applicable.
• Keep up with current interior design trends, materials and industry developments.
• Support the Founder with creative direction and design-related decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or relevant qualification in Interior Design, Architecture or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional interior design experience.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating completed projects.
• Proficiency in relevant design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 3D Max, Photoshop or similar.
• Strong understanding of space planning, materials, finishes and furniture.
• Good project management and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.
• Strong understanding of both aesthetics and functionality.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is creative, organised, commercially aware and confident enough to take ownership of a project. You should be able to make strong design decisions while also understanding budgets, timelines and client expectations.

Pay: ₦150,000.00 per month
