About the Role
Butterfly is looking for a Lead Digital Project Manager - Websites & WordPress to take day-to-day leadership of the project management function while remaining actively involved in project delivery. This is a genuine working team lead role: the successful candidate will lead, coach and hold the project management team accountable, maintain oversight of portfolio health, resource capacity and delivery standards, and act as the first escalation point when projects need support. At the same time, they will personally manage several WordPress or digital projects, depending on size and complexity, owning delivery from planning through launch. The role suits someone who enjoys both leading people and delivering projects, rather than someone looking to move away from hands-on project management.
This role is being recruited by Clarke Point(www.clarkepoint.com), a premier Singapore-based agency dedicated to delivering global recruitment and staffing solutions, and is for a long-term, full-time Independent Contractor.
What You’ll Be Doing
Team Delivery and Leadership
- Lead, coach and hold accountable Butterfly's project management team, ensuring PMs are supported while remaining accountable for their own projects
- Maintain oversight of the full project portfolio, ensuring projects have clear plans, owners, budgets, milestones, risks and dependencies
- Allocate projects and actively manage workloads and capacity in partnership with design, engineering, QA and operational leaders, keeping capacity constraints visible and addressing over-allocation early
- Run regular PM check-ins, portfolio reviews and delivery planning sessions to strengthen planning, reporting, documentation and delivery discipline
- Monitor portfolio health and identify delivery risks, blockers and dependencies early so issues can be addressed before they materially affect clients, timelines or budgets
- Act as the first escalation point for project risks, client concerns and competing priorities, helping PMs resolve issues while maintaining accountability for delivery
- Strengthen workflows, project controls and ways of working so delivery becomes more consistent, visible and commercially disciplined
Hands-on Project Management
- Personally manage WordPress or digital projects, depending on size and complexity, from planning through launch
- Own the project plan, scope, budget, timeline, risks, dependencies and client relationship for personally managed projects
- Ensure clients receive clear and proactive communication about progress, risks, decisions, trade-offs and next steps
- Coordinate designers, developers, solution architects, QA specialists and client stakeholders throughout delivery
- Lead discovery, planning, refinement, showcases, UAT and launch activities, keeping decisions, documentation and ownership clear
- Manage scope changes, variations and delivery blockers with sound commercial judgement, balancing quality, timing, scope and cost
- Remain close to delivery and step into practical project tasks where appropriate to help the team achieve a successful outcome
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Experience delivering multiple concurrent projects within a digital agency, professional services business or similarly fast-paced client environment.
- Demonstrated experience leading, coaching and holding project managers or delivery team members accountable for performance and project outcomes
- Demonstrated experience setting expectations for project teams, allocating work, reviewing performance and addressing delivery or performance concerns in partnership with senior leadership.

- Strong commercial judgement and the ability to balance quality, timing, scope, cost and client expectations
- Strong understanding of WordPress, content management systems and web development concepts without needing to code
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills across clients, creative teams and technical specialists
- Experience working successfully with Australian or comparable international clients
Nice to have

- Experience with Cloudways or similar hosting platforms
- Knowledge of WCAG accessibility, SEO, performance optimisation and UX best practices
