Responsibilities

• Lead the review, preparation, and verification of all loan documentation, including mortgage, FHA (Federal Housing Administration), VA (Veterans Affairs), and conventional loans, ensuring adherence to FNMA (Fannie Mae) guidelines and TRID (TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosure) compliance.
• Collaborate with loan officers, underwriters, and mortgage servicing teams to facilitate smooth loan origination processes while maintaining strict compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Oversee the accurate completion of escrow calculations, credit analysis reports, and other financial assessments integral to loan approval.
• Ensure all documentation aligns with fair housing regulations and lending standards while maintaining comprehensive records for audit purposes.
• Manage internal communication channels to coordinate loan processing tasks efficiently across departments; provide guidance on complex loan contracts and client communication strategies.
• Conduct quality control checks on loan files for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with TILA (Truth in Lending Act), RESPA (Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act), and other relevant regulations.
• Support training initiatives for team members on industry knowledge of financial regulations, Encompass (loan origination software), and mortgage services best practices.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in loan origination or mortgage processing within the financial services sector; prior loan officer experience is highly valued.
• Strong knowledge of FNMA guidelines, FHA/VA loans, conventional mortgages, and banking regulatory compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with mortgage servicing processes, underwriting procedures, escrow management, and credit analysis techniques.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; experience with Encompass or similar loan origination systems is preferred.
• Deep understanding of TRID compliance, TILA regulations, fair housing laws, and industry standards for mortgage lending.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks accurately under tight deadlines.
• Effective communication skills for internal collaboration and client interaction; commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
• Basic math skills including 10-key typing proficiency necessary for accurate data entry and calculations.
