Lead Dotnet Developer

CornerStone Technology Talent Services (TTS) is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Analyst / Lead Application Developer for a long-term consulting opportunity supporting enterprise-level application development, financial systems modernization, and business process transformation.

What You'll Do

Enterprise Application Development & Technical Leadership

• Serve as a senior developer, technical lead, and subject matter expert for enterprise applications supporting complex financial and operational business processes.
• Provide technical direction throughout the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, solution design, development, testing, integration, and production deployment.
• Develop, maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance enterprise applications and database-driven systems.
• Collaborate with software architects and development teams to deliver scalable, maintainable, and high-performing applications.
• Establish and promote software development standards, coding practices, technical documentation, and quality assurance processes.

Systems Analysis & Business Process Improvement

• Analyze existing enterprise systems, application workflows, and financial business processes to identify inefficiencies, technical limitations, and opportunities for modernization.
• Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate complex operational needs into actionable technical specifications.
• Evaluate integrations, data dependencies, system functionality, and application performance to support effective solution design.
• Contribute to business process redesign, workflow optimization, and enterprise transformation initiatives.
• Recommend technical improvements that enhance application reliability, operational efficiency, and long-term maintainability.

Database Development & Application Integration

• Work extensively with SQL-based relational databases, including Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL, and Oracle or comparable enterprise database technologies .
• Analyze data structures, application dependencies, database queries, and system integration requirements.
• Support database-driven application development, troubleshooting, and performance improvements.
• Collaborate with development teams to maintain data integrity and ensure dependable application functionality across integrated systems.
• Apply sound relational database design principles and SQL development practices.

Software Quality, Troubleshooting & Continuous Improvement

• Provide technical guidance and quality oversight as application changes progress through development, integration, staging, and production.
• Investigate and resolve complex application defects, database issues, and system performance problems.
• Collaborate with QA teams to validate functionality, support regression testing, and improve overall software quality.
• Participate in technical design reviews, development planning, process standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Communicate technical risks, dependencies, and proposed solutions to both technical teams and business leadership.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as a Lead Software Developer, Technical Lead, Development Manager, or comparable senior application development professional.
• 5+ years of experience working with enterprise software development technologies and relational database platforms.
• Strong hands-on SQL proficiency , including the ability to analyze queries, troubleshoot database-related application issues, and work with complex data structures.
• Professional experience with SQL Server, Azure SQL, Oracle, or comparable relational database technologies .
• Demonstrated experience supporting complex financial systems, financial business processes, or enterprise applications with sophisticated business rules .
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, application architecture, systems integration, testing, and production support.
• Experience performing complex systems analysis and translating business requirements into technical solutions.
• Proven ability to provide technical direction, collaborate with developers and architects, and communicate effectively with nontechnical stakeholders.
• Experience troubleshooting complex enterprise applications and implementing sustainable technical solutions.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred Technical Experience

Candidates with the following capabilities will receive strong consideration:

• Microsoft .NET / C# development and Microsoft Visual Studio.
• Experience developing, maintaining, or modernizing enterprise applications using the Microsoft technology stack.
• Entity Framework, NHibernate, or other Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) frameworks .
• Database performance tuning, stored procedures, SQL query optimization, and data modeling.
• Application integration, API-based communication, and enterprise data flows.
• Legacy application modernization and business process reengineering.
• Financial application development involving accounting, budgeting, reporting, reconciliation, or related business functions.
• Experience working with distributed technical teams across large, cross-functional development projects.
• Familiarity with structured testing, code reviews, release management, and modern software development practices.
