  • Help drivers resolve routine delivery and operational issues.
  • Reinforce company expectations for safe driving, routing, documentation, equipment care, and professionalism.

  • Perform required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Ensure unsafe conditions or equipment are reported immediately.
  • Stop work or deliveries when there is a safety concern.

  • Problems are identified and communicated before they become larger issues.
  • Delivery paperwork and documentation are complete and accurate.

LEADERSHIP EXPECTATIONS

At Lodge Lumber, the Lead Driver isn't just expected to tell people what to do. The Lead Driver is expected to set the example.

We are looking for someone who:

WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS

Our drivers are one of the final connections between Lodge Lumber and our customers. The Lead Driver helps ensure that connection represents the company well while keeping our employees, equipment, materials, and customers safe.

This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who wants to drive, lead by example, and help make the entire Logistics team better.

Main change: I incorporated the TWIC card as a required qualification and kept the posting written as a working Lead Driver position, rather than making it sound like a full supervisory or management role.
