Job Summary

Dipanshu Promoter & Builder Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Electrical Designer Engineer with a strong background in complete electrical engineering design, precision CAD drafting, and accurate estimation/BOQ preparation. The ideal candidate will take ownership of end-to-end electrical design workflows for large-scale building construction projects (e.g., Medical Colleges, Hospitals, Sports Universities). You will ensure seamless internal coordination, strict code compliance, cost optimization, and the timely delivery of flawless working drawings.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

1. Electrical Design & Engineering

• Develop comprehensive electrical design concepts, schematics, and single-line diagrams (SLDs) for complex building projects.
• Perform all design calculations including load sizing, transformer/DG sizing, cable sizing, voltage drop, short-circuit analysis, and indoor/outdoor lighting illumination levels.
• Design High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) distribution networks, earthing systems, lightning protection, and Extra-Low Voltage (ELV) systems (such as CCTV, fire alarms, PA, and data networks).

2.Drafting & Technical Drawings

• Draft and prepare highly detailed shop drawings, schematic drawings, and good-for-construction (GFC) installation layouts.
• Coordinate electrical layouts with architectural, structural, and other MEP services (HVAC, Plumbing, Firefighting) to identify, report, and resolve spatial clashes.

3.Estimation & BOQ Preparation

• Prepare precise Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost estimations, and material specifications based on tender requirements and finalized designs.
• Review, verify, and validate contractor shop drawings, technical material submittals, and vendor cost estimates.
• Drive value engineering initiatives to optimize costs without compromising on safety or quality standards.

4.Compliance, Site Coordination & Handover

• Ensure all designs strictly comply with the National Building Code (NBC), IS codes, local statutory authority norms, and project specifications.
• Provide technical support to site execution teams, participate in regular site visits for design validation, and resolve engineering issues on-site.
• Assist in the testing, commissioning, and final technical handover of electrical services.
• Maintain accurate design versions, revision histories, and project documentation.

5.Key Skills & Competencies Required

• Deep expertise in Electrical Design Engineering rules, building power distribution, and ELV integration.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit MEP for standalone drafting and BIM-coordinated modeling.
• Strong command over MS Office (particularly MS Excel) for managing heavy BOQ, calculation, and cost sheets.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional coordination skills to collaborate effectively with consultants, contractors, and project managers.

6.Qualifications & Experience

• Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience: 12-20 years of stable, hands-on experience in electrical design and drafting.
• Project Background: Proven track record working on large-scale EPC Mode projects for Government or Private sectors (e.g., Medical Colleges, Sports Universities, multi-specialty Hospitals, or institutional campuses).
