Lead Electrical Engineer

We are partnering with a growing multidisciplinary engineering consultancy to appoint an experienced Lead Electrical Engineer to take technical ownership of complex electrical engineering projects from concept through to completion.

This role would suit a strong electrical engineering professional who enjoys leading technical delivery, working closely with clients, collaborating across disciplines, and supporting the development of other engineers.

The Role

You will lead the design and delivery of electrical systems for regulated manufacturing environments, including pharmaceutical, medical device and advanced manufacturing facilities.

Key areas of responsibility will include:

• Leading electrical engineering projects from concept through to completion.
• Designing and developing electrical systems including power distribution, control systems, instrumentation and automation-related systems.
• Preparing and reviewing technical drawings, specifications, reports and validation-related documentation.
• Ensuring designs meet relevant electrical, safety, regulatory and industry standards.
• Collaborating with clients, vendors, contractors and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Mentoring and supporting junior and intermediate engineers.

About You

We are interested in speaking with candidates who have strong electrical engineering experience in regulated manufacturing, industrial, pharmaceutical, medical device or similar environments.

You will also bring:

• Experience leading projects, technical workstreams or engineering teams.
• Strong knowledge of electrical design, power distribution, instrumentation, control systems and automation-related systems.
• Practical knowledge of relevant electrical and safety standards, including IS10101.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.

Experience with GMP, ATEX, IEC, ISO 13485, ISO 13849, AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP, EPLAN, PLCs, SCADA, BMS or EMS would be an advantage.
