What they need
South Florida Academy of Air Conditioning (SFAAC) is an adult technical school with hands-on HVAC training. We're adding a short-term electrical fundamentals course for HVAC students at our Tampa campus: 4524 Oak Fair Blvd, Suite 110, Tampa, FL 33610.
The role
We're looking for an experienced electrician to lead a highly engaging short-term / boot-camp style electrical program taught over three weeks. We anticipate that we will hold 3 of these programs per year. You'll teach practical electrical concepts, introducing students to tools and materials, and basic troubleshooting, and contribute your trade insight to the curriculum. We want a clear, engaging instructor who gets adult learners excited about the work. Strong and diverse electrical experience is required. Teaching experience is highly preferred.
Schedule - please read carefully
This is intermittent part-time work, not a regular weekly schedule. Courses run on varying dates throughout the year. We may confirm a class start date on short notice. Once you accept a course block, you must be available and dependable for all 15 instructional days across the full three-week period. There are no guaranteed weekly hours between courses. This role will not fit someone whose existing work or other commitments prevent them from reserving and attending a complete course block.
Pay: $40 per hour for all time worked, including prep.
