What they need

PARC Engineering is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced Lead Electrical Project Engineer to join our Applecross Head Office and play a key role in delivering high-quality electrical and multidisciplinary projects across the construction and resources sectors.

In this role you’ll take ownership of the engineering and technical delivery of projects from concept through to construction, commissioning and handover. You’ll provide the technical leadership and practical problem-solving needed to deliver projects that are safe, efficient, technically robust and commercially successful.

What makes this role different is the variety it offers. While your home base will be our Perth office, you’ll also have the opportunity to work on site during key project phases, putting your expertise into action and playing a hands-on role in keeping projects moving forward. If you’re ready to step into a role where you can lead, influence and see projects through to completion, this is an opportunity to make a real contribution at a growing business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all phases of the project lifecycle, including engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Provide technical leadership and engineering guidance to project teams throughout project delivery.
  • Review electrical designs, drawings, technical specifications and engineering deliverables.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, forecasts, cost reports and progress reporting.
  • Oversee procurement activities, including preparation of technical requisitions, bid evaluations, vendor management and equipment selection.
  • Identify project risks and opportunities, implementing effective mitigation strategies to achieve project objectives.
  • Support pre-commissioning, commissioning, testing and final handover activities.
  • Conduct site inspections, quality audits and progress reviews to ensure works are completed in accordance with project requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Drive a strong safety culture by ensuring all activities align with WHS legislation and company HSEQ requirements.
  • Prepare and present project reports, technical documentation, and project updates to senior management and clients.
  • Travel to project sites as required to support project mobilisation, construction, commissioning, shutdowns and critical project milestones.
  • Contribute to business improvement initiatives, tender submissions, project planning and continuous improvement across the Projects team.

Role requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering
  • 5+ years relevant industry experience in an Engineering role within the mining, construction or industrial industries
  • Excellent knowledge of relevant Australian and international engineering standards
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Previous experience interfacing with clients and strong stakeholder management skills
  • Proven project management skills and demonstrated ability to deliver work within agreed budget, timeframe and client requirements

PARC Perks:

  • Genuine career progression paths and professional development opportunities
  • Remuneration, Reward and Recognition Programs
  • Support for you and your family through our Employee Assistant Program (EAP)
  • The chance to join a growing business with a family-company feel & values driven culture where every person’s contribution matters
