What they need
Are you the person everyone calls when a line is down?
Picture this: a critical machine stops. You open the PLC program, trace I/O, verify sensors, and within minutes you’ve found the fault and the line is humming again. Minutes later you’re rehabbing a hydraulic leak, then fabricating a quick fixture to improve safety guarding. If that sounds like your kind of challenge, you’ll thrive here.
Your mission
Own complex troubleshooting and repair on PLC-controlled equipment and broader automation/robotics systems. Maintain our facility end-to-end—structures, building and grounds, electrical and heating, plumbing, and machine repairs. Perform machining and bench work to modify or restore tools, fixtures, gauges, and guarding; execute preventive maintenance with specialized equipment. Team up with engineers and external vendors to deliver cost-effective, timely fixes to process and equipment problems. Lead by example: train teammates, assign and direct work, provide performance input to the supervisor, and help resolve concerns. Adapt and assist with other duties as assigned.
What it takes
- Deep hands-on troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Leadership mindset with strong collaboration, communication, and people skills.
- Applied knowledge of tooling methods and use cases.
- Comfort with basic computer tools.
- Fluent in English and the primary language used in the area/location.
Credentials
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 3 years of technical maintenance experience using mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic skills.
What your body will do here
- Lift and carry engines, parts, and materials of varying size and weight; essential physical requirements for each job are provided by your supervisor.
- Push, pull, bend, kneel, twist, crawl, and reach on an occasional-to-frequent basis during 8–12 hour shifts.
- Stand and/or walk continuously for full 8–12 hour shifts.
- Operate power and vibrating tools for extended periods.
- Work in environments where hearing protection is required throughout the shift.
- Drive/operate motorized vehicles for up to a full shift.
