Lead Electronics Systems Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a Lead Electronics Systems Engineer to drive the development of sophisticated electrical hardware for high-stakes aerospace and defense applications. You will leverage your technical expertise to architect robust systems, ensuring peak performance and reliability in complex environments.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement advanced electrical systems, focusing on CCA and printed circuit board development.
• Drive the full lifecycle of electronic hardware, from initial design and debugging to final deployment and maintenance.
• Define comprehensive system requirements and hardware specifications to ensure project success.
• Develop and optimize embedded firmware to enhance system functionality and hardware integration.
• Analyze existing design methodologies to propose innovative improvements that increase efficiency and performance.
• Collaborate within cross-functional teams to conduct rigorous design reviews and provide technical mentorship.
• Maintain high standards of technical documentation, including test plans and system specifications.

Qualifications

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• 6+ years of professional experience in electrical or computer engineering.
• Deep proficiency in Altium Designer for complex PCB layouts.
• Extensive knowledge of digital communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, USB, TCP/IP, and MIL-STD-1553.
• Proven expertise in CCA hardware development and system integration.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.

• Direct experience with secure encryption hardware design.
• Strong background in multi-disciplinary project coordination and independent problem-solving.
• Experience balancing technical requirements with aggressive project timelines.
