Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Embedded Engineer to join our cutting-edge technology team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of developing and optimizing embedded systems that power a wide range of intelligent devices and solutions. Your expertise will drive the design, implementation, and testing of firmware and hardware interfaces, ensuring seamless integration with complex software applications. This is an exciting opportunity to work on pioneering projects involving real-time systems, machine learning, and advanced sensor technologies, all within a fast-paced, collaborative environment committed to technological excellence.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize embedded software for microcontrollers and embedded systems using languages such as C, C++, Embedded C, and Python.
- Implement firmware for real-time operating systems (RTOS) and ensure robust performance in diverse hardware environments.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to develop PCB layouts, soldering processes, and sensor integrations for innovative product prototypes.
- Develop and maintain APIs, including RESTful APIs, for communication between embedded devices and cloud platforms like AWS or Microsoft SQL Server.
- Conduct debugging and troubleshooting using logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal processing tools, and other engineering troubleshooting techniques.
- Write comprehensive documentation using UML diagrams, Confluence pages, and version control tools like GitHub or SVN to ensure clear project tracking.
- Perform unit testing, software quality assurance, and integration testing to guarantee high standards of reliability and performance in embedded systems.
- Engage in algorithm design related to signal processing, machine learning applications, or quantum engineering projects to enhance device intelligence.
- Support content development for UI/UX interfaces on Android or web platforms using JavaScript, HTML/CSS, or Objective-C as needed.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives through Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban while maintaining compliance with industry standards.
Experience
- Proven experience in embedded systems programming with proficiency in C/C++, ARM architecture, RTOS environments, and Linux-based platforms.
- Hands-on expertise with FPGA development, digital logic design, PCB layout, soldering techniques, and sensors integration.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware components including microcontrollers (e.g., Raspberry Pi), signal analyzers, logic analyzers, and debugging tools.
- Familiarity with network protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP/WAN technologies like Ethernet or Zigbee for IoT applications.
- Experience working with cloud services (AWS), databases (MySQL, SQL Server), content management tools (Jira), and software development environments (Visual Studio/Eclipse).
- Ability to develop APIs using RESTful principles; skilled in scripting languages such as Perl or Bash for automation tasks.
- Knowledge of software development best practices including unit testing (DHCP), software troubleshooting techniques, version control (Git), and test automation frameworks.
- Background in algorithm design related to machine learning models or quantum engineering concepts is a plus.
- Excellent analysis skills combined with a strong understanding of operating system kernels (Linux/RTOS) for optimized embedded solutions.
