About the role
Lead and manage engineering design and consultancy works for various projects. You will prepare, review and approve engineering calculations, drawings, specifications and technical reports, lead the technical team and provide guidance to engineers, technical staff and drafters.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage engineering design and consultancy works for various projects
- Prepare, review and approve engineering calculations, drawings, specifications and technical reports
- Lead the technical team and provide guidance to engineers, technical staff and drafters
- Coordinate engineering works with clients, contractors, authorities and other consultants
- Coordinate multidisciplinary works and resolve design and technical issues
- Ensure all engineering works comply with relevant standards, codes and authority requirements
- Attend project meetings, site inspections and technical discussions
- Provide technical support during tender and construction stages
- Monitor project progress and ensure engineering deliverables are completed within the required timeline
- Review tender documents and provide technical input for project submissions
About you
- Degree in Civil Engineering or Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in engineering consultancy
- Strong technical and leadership capabilities
- Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently and lead a team
- Good knowledge of relevant Malaysian Standards and authority requirements
- Proficient in design software such as STAAD.Pro, Esteem, Tekla, Mits 2, Orian or equivalent
- Registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) as a Professional Engineer with Practicing Certificate (PEPC) is preferred
- Experience in infrastructure, roads, drainage, earthworks, water supply and/or related projects is preferred
- Strong experience in structural analysis, design and project coordination is preferred
- Knowledge and experience in Building Information Modeling (BIM) using Revit is an advantaged.
