Lead Engineer

About the role

Lead engineering of Fire Protection Services in accordance with project requirements, technical standards, and specifications. Ensure design content aligns with project specifications and standards including PTS, NFPA, and BOMBA requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and coordinate Design Engineers and Junior Design Engineers in carrying out design and engineering activities, including assigning tasks and monitoring progress, quality, and timely completion of deliverables
• Ensure all engineering deliverables and documentation are prepared, reviewed, and submitted in accordance with the project schedule and Engineering Deliverables List
• Prepare and consolidate Material Take-Off (MTO) related to Fire Protection Systems prior to the procurement process
• Review and check engineering designs, calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements, applicable codes, standards, and authority requirements including PTM, NFPA, and BOMBA requirements
• Provide technical guidance and support to Design Engineers and Junior Design Engineers in resolving design and engineering issues
• Coordinate design and engineering activities with BIM Modelers, BIM Coordinators, consultants, contractors, project teams, and other disciplines to ensure proper integration and coordination
• Identify and resolve design clashes, constructability issues, technical discrepancies, and coordination issues during the design and engineering process
• Prepare and respond to Technical Queries (TQ) and Project Technical Deviation Requests, and provide appropriate technical recommendations
• Attend and participate in design and technical coordination meetings with the Client and relevant project teams as instructed
• Handle Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) with the Client together with the Project Team where required

About you

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Chemical Engineering
