About LeadSOC Technologies

LeadSOC is a multinational engineering company specializing in end-to-end VLSI and semiconductor engineering solutions. We work across the semiconductor product lifecycle, from SoC design and verification to embedded software, firmware, automation engineering, and post-silicon engineering.

Our Software Engineering team focuses on embedded software, firmware, Linux, device drivers, system software, and other low-level technologies that support next-generation semiconductor and automotive platforms.

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Automotive Embedded Software Engineer / Technical Lead with strong expertise in microcontroller architectures, AUTOSAR, automotive communication protocols, ECU integration, and hardware-level debugging.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in software architecture, development, integration, board bring-up, and validation on actual automotive hardware, along with the ability to provide technical direction to engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, integrate, debug, and validate automotive embedded software on MCU/MPU/SoC-based platforms.
  • Work with microcontroller and microprocessor architectures, CPU cores, DSPs, accelerators, caches, memory hierarchy, DMA, and peripherals.
  • Configure and integrate AUTOSAR BSW, RTE, MCAL, OS, communication stacks, and diagnostic modules.
  • Work with Vector DaVinci Configurator/Developer, EB tresos, AUTOSAR MCAL/RTD, and ECU integration.
  • Develop and validate automotive communication stacks involving CAN, LIN, Ethernet, TCP/IP, and UDS.
  • Perform ECU bring-up, firmware flashing, bootloader configuration, software download, and hardware validation.
  • Debug MCU peripherals, including SPI, I2C, UART, PWM/eMIOS, ADC, GPIO, and Ethernet PHY interfaces.
  • Use laboratory equipment and debugging tools to troubleshoot hardware-software integration issues.
  • Validate communication protocols using CANoe, CANalyzer, PCAN, Wireshark, and related tools.
  • Work with RTOS-based systems, task scheduling, synchronization, inter-core communication, and deterministic execution.
  • Apply functional safety and automotive cybersecurity principles during software development and integration.
  • Translate technical requirements into software architecture, design specifications, implementation guidance, and integration plans.
  • Collaborate with distributed engineering teams and contribute to technical reviews, software quality, and validation activities.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 10–14 years of hands-on experience in automotive embedded software development.
  • Strong understanding of MCU, MPU, and SoC architectures and hardware-software interfaces.
  • Developer-level expertise in AUTOSAR architecture, including BSW, RTE, MCAL, OS, communication stacks, and diagnostics.
  • Hands-on experience with ECU software integration, evaluation boards, target hardware, and platform bring-up.
  • Strong knowledge of CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet, TCP/IP, UDS, and automotive diagnostic protocols.
  • Experience with RTOS-based embedded systems and low-level peripheral debugging.
  • Proficiency with Lauterbach or other JTAG debuggers, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and embedded debugging tools.
  • Experience with automotive software development lifecycles, design reviews, code quality, requirements traceability, and validation workflows.
  • Technical leadership experience combined with active involvement in design, development, debugging, integration, and validation.
  • Experience in automotive OEM, Tier-1, semiconductor, or embedded platform engineering environments.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Vector MICROSAR and EB tresos.
  • Knowledge of Vector DaVinci Configurator/Developer and AUTOSAR MCAL/RTD.
  • Experience with CANoe, CANalyzer, PCAN, and Wireshark.
  • Familiarity with ISO 26262, functional safety mechanisms, fault handling, and safety-oriented software architecture.
  • Understanding of secure boot, cryptographic services, secure diagnostics, secure firmware updates, and HSM/HSE integration.
  • Experience working with geographically distributed engineering teams in matrixed R&D environments.
