What they need
Build the Future of Explosive Safety
In an era of evolving threats like smart munitions and unmanned systems, we need engineers who can translate complex physics into practical protection. As the Lead Engineer for Explosive Effects and Safety, your mission is to design anti-ballistics systems that are inherently lighter, stronger, and more resilient against novel explosive effects out in the battlefield.
What You’ll Be Building:
- Next-Gen Material and Manufacturing Application: Evaluate and adopt emerging materials, from high-strength polymers to advanced composites, to enhance protection against blast overpressure and fragments. Lead the adoption of new manufacturing techniques such as 3D printing for specialised components, to create more resilient and lightweight protective structures.
- Systems Resilience & Integration: Oversee the design and deployment of integrated anti-ballistic solutions into future military assets. You are responsible for identifying systemic vulnerabilities and gaps in current protection and recommend the engineering material strategies required to hedge against evolving explosive effects.
- Field Performance Validation: This isn’t a desk job. Lead the technical planning for field tests and trial firings to validate that the engineering solutions meet operational standards.
Why Join Us?
- Global Exposure: Attend overseas conferences (USA, Europe) and participate in international munitions technical committees like the NATO and U.N.
- Professional Accreditation: We support your journey to attain an academic degree and above and obtain professional accreditation from international institutes.
- Practical Innovation: Move beyond theoretical research by applying engineering thinking to solve real-world safety and survival challenges.
Who we are looking for:
- Academic Qualifications: Degree in Engineering (Materials Science, Mechanical, Systems, Aero.) or Applied Physics/Chemistry.
- Relevant Skills and Experiences: Exposure to Modelling/Simulation of high-strain events, or Advanced Manufacturing.
