Lead Engineer – IT, Security & Internal AI

What You'll Own

• Own the fleet — manage the end-to-end lifecycle of all physical machines, network devices and office IT infrastructure, including hands-on break/fix troubleshooting.
• Engineer zero-touch provisioning and modern Mobile Device Management (MDM) so new teammates auto-configure securely on day one.
• Act as the financial gatekeeper for the tech stack — implement aggressive FinOps practices, right-size workloads, and optimise cloud footprint and SaaS licenses.
• Identify and deploy GenAI tools, copilots and LLMs to radically boost internal productivity, with the mandate to build and deploy where it cuts cost or automates an operation.
• Design a modern Zero-Trust security architecture embedded directly into the developer workflow — security invisible to the engineer, impenetrable to the threat.
• Act as the technical guardian of data privacy, translating DPDP Act and SOC2/ISO 27001 requirements into automated code and infrastructure guardrails.
• Own IAM, endpoint security across all physical devices, and automated incident response pipelines.
• Manage the vendor ecosystem — hardware suppliers, software licenses, SaaS platforms — demanding engineering excellence and strict SLA adherence from partners.

What We're Looking For

• 6–8 years of deep, hands-on experience spanning internal IT infrastructure, FinOps/budget management, and information security.
• Comfortable opening up a machine to troubleshoot a hardware failure as well as running a security audit.
• A creative problem solver who treats developer friction — a slow laptop or a strict firewall — as an engineering bug to be fixed.
• Forward-looking — you play with modern GenAI tools and constantly think about applying them to enterprise architecture.
• Mission-driven — you want to use your engineering talents to build, maintain and protect India's digital public infrastructure.

A strong plus Experience across MDM / zero-touch provisioning | FinOps on AWS/GCP | Zero-Trust architecture | DPDP Act and ISO 27001 implementation | GenAI-driven internal tooling.
