Lead Engineering-Drytype Transformer

• Lead mechanical and electrical engineering activities for dry-type transformer products from RFQ/specification review through design, approval, manufacturing release and testing.
• Provide technical direction on electrical design, magnetic/thermal considerations, winding and insulation systems, mechanical construction, enclosures, supports and manufacturability.
• Review and approve engineering calculations, drawings, BOMs, specifications and customer submittal packages.
• Establish and maintain design standards, templates, standard components, design manuals and engineering best practices.
• Lead technical reviews with sales, customers, manufacturing, testing, purchasing and quality teams.
• Own resolution of complex design, manufacturing and testing issues and drive root-cause/correctiveaction activities.
• Lead new product development, product redesign, standardization, value engineering and costreduction initiatives.
• Ensure engineering projects meet customer requirements, schedule, cost and quality objectives.
• Build engineering capability through mentoring, training, competency development and review of designers’ work.
• Develop practical design-for-manufacturing and design-for-assembly practices and drive continuous improvement.
• Support technical presentations, customer discussions and escalation management.
• Track engineering workload, priorities, project milestones and deliverables and communicate status to leadership.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering; advanced engineering education is a plus.
• Typically 12+ years of transformer engineering experience with significant dry-type transformer design experience.
• Strong working knowledge of both electrical and mechanical aspects of dry-type transformer design.
• Demonstrated experience reviewing and approving transformer designs, drawings, calculations and manufacturing documentation.
• Experience leading engineers/designers and coordinating multi-functional engineering projects.
• Strong knowledge of transformer standards and customer specifications, with experience in U.S. or international transformer markets preferred.
• Strong CAD/design-software and engineering documentation experience.
• Excellent customer-facing, communication, decision-making and problem-solving skills.

Pay: ₹2,000,000.00 - ₹3,000,000.00 per year
