Role Summary
We are looking for a Flutter Lead who will be responsible for the technical direction, architecture, development quality, and delivery of our mobile applications.

The role is hands-on and requires strong expertise in Flutter/Dart, mobile architecture, API integration, payment integration, external device connectivity, performance optimization, and production troubleshooting, along with the ability to technically mentor and guide a development team.

The ideal candidate should be capable of independently solving complex technical problems, making sound architectural decisions, reviewing code, establishing technical standards, and mentoring other developers while actively contributing to development.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture of Flutter applications and contribute to the technical direction and long-term technical roadmap of projects.
• Conduct design reviews and ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and reliable.
• Take ownership of key technical and architectural decisions and define appropriate coding standards, development practices, and architectural guidelines.
• Remain hands-on with the development of complex and critical features.
• Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance and mentoring to Flutter developers.
• Design and review API integrations, authentication, state management, and data-handling approaches.
• Integrate payment gateways and third-party payment services where required.
• Integrate and communicate with external devices such as printers, barcode scanners/readers, and QR scanners using appropriate communication protocols.
• Work with HTTP/REST APIs, Socket APIs, WebSockets, and Wi-Fi/network communication where required.
• Troubleshoot complex application, API, payment, device connectivity, performance, and production issues.
• Work with QA and DevOps on testing, monitoring, and mobile application releases.
• Manage and support Android and iOS build and deployment processes.
• Evaluate Flutter packages, SDKs, libraries, and third-party technologies before introducing them into production.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of software development experience, including experience in a Flutter technical leadership or lead role.
• 4+ years of hands-on professional experience with Flutter and Dart.
• Experience leading or mentoring Flutter/mobile development teams.
• Strong understanding of Flutter architecture, lifecycle, rendering, widgets, navigation, and design patterns.
• Strong understanding of state management solutions such as GetX, Riverpod, Provider, or equivalent.
• Strong experience with REST APIs, JSON, HTTP, authentication, JWT/OAuth2, and third-party integrations.
• Experience implementing access-token and refresh-token mechanisms.
• Experience integrating payment gateways or payment services.
• Experience with Socket APIs, WebSockets, or other real-time communication technologies.
• Experience integrating external hardware or peripheral devices such as printers and barcode scanners.
• Experience with local storage and databases such as SQLite, Hive, Drift, SharedPreferences, or equivalent.
• Experience handling offline/online scenarios, network failures, retries, synchronization, and cached data.
• Strong debugging and performance optimization skills, including crash analysis, ANRs/freezes, memory issues, unnecessary rebuilds, UI lag, frame drops, and other performance bottlenecks.
• Experience with Git, pull requests, and code reviews.
• Experience with Android and iOS build and release processes.
• Experience with Firebase or equivalent mobile services.
• Strong understanding of application security and secure storage of sensitive data.
• Ability to evaluate technical approaches, Flutter packages, SDKs, and third-party libraries and make appropriate technology decisions for production applications.

Good to Have

• Experience with Kotlin or Swift.
• Experience developing Flutter plugins or working with native platform APIs.
• Experience with Bluetooth or other device communication protocols.
• Experience developing enterprise applications or multi-product mobile platforms.
• Experience modifying or extending reusable Flutter packages and plugins to meet project requirements.
• Experience working with large or existing Flutter codebases and improving their architecture, maintainability, and performance.

Engineering Expectations

• Follow established architecture and development standards, and prefer focused, maintainable changes over unnecessary refactoring.
• Take end-to-end ownership of assigned features, from technical design through production release.
• Ensure code is properly tested, reviewed, documented, and production-ready.
• Proactively identify and resolve technical risks, performance issues, and production problems.
• Make technical decisions with consideration for maintainability, reliability, security, and scalability.
• Ensure integrations are reliable, maintainable, and secure across different devices and operating-system versions.
• Pay particular attention to payment failures, network and retry issues, device disconnections, duplicate requests, and inconsistent API responses.
• Developers should understand and be able to explain the code they submit, including AI-assisted code, and review generated code for correctness, security, performance, and maintainability.
• Communicate technical decisions clearly to developers, QA, product, and management teams.
• Continuously improve development processes, architecture, and engineering standards.

Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
