We're working with a growing data and insight business looking to hire a Lead Forecasting & Insight Analyst into their Data & Insight team. This is a really visible role where you'll own complex forecasting and analytical projects, combining hands-on modelling, client engagement and technical leadership. You'll work with unique datasets, help clients make long-term strategic decisions and play a key role in developing analytical capability across the wider business.
What you'll be doing
In this role, you'll take ownership of complex forecasting and modelling projects from initial scoping through to delivery. You'll work with large and varied datasets, developing forecasts, building scenarios, refining methodologies and translating findings into clear recommendations for clients and stakeholders.
You'll be responsible for strengthening forecasting approaches, reviewing assumptions, validating model outputs and identifying opportunities to improve analytical quality. Alongside forecasting, you'll lead consultancy-style analytical work, produce market and benchmarking insight, and present findings to senior stakeholders.
In this role, you’ll also be mentoring others, improving analytical processes and helping the wider team adopt best practice. You'll act as a senior analytical voice within the function and help shape its future direction. Sound like you?
What experience you'll need to apply
- 8-10+ years' experience within analytics, forecasting, economics, statistics, actuarial science or a related quantitative field
- Significant experience leading complex analytical projects from end to end
- Strong forecasting and statistical modelling experience
- Experience with regression, time-series analysis, scenario modelling and sensitivity analysis
- Experience developing, validating and improving analytical models
- Advanced Excel skills and practical SQL experience
- Experience working with large, complex datasets from multiple sources
- Strong stakeholder engagement and client-facing communication skills
- Experience reviewing the work of others and providing technical guidance
- Ability to explain complex analysis to non-technical audiences
- Experience with R would be highly beneficial
- Exposure to Power BI, Tableau, Azure or Databricks would be advantageous
What you'll get in return for your experience
A salary of up to £70,000, depending on experience, alongside remote-first working and the opportunity to play a genuinely influential role within a growing business. You'll have ownership of high-profile forecasting projects, visibility across senior stakeholders and the chance to help shape analytical best practice within a business that is investing heavily in data, forecasting and insight capabilities.
