Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate HVAC installation projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to schematics, design specifications, and safety protocols.
• Oversee the setup and calibration of mechanical systems including air conditioning units, refrigeration systems, boilers, and building automation systems.
• Diagnose electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and troubleshoot HVAC/R equipment to identify faults accurately.
• Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design documents to guide installation processes.
• Perform mechanical systems repair, maintenance, welding, plumbing connections, and electrical diagnostics with precision.
• Ensure compliance with EPA regulations related to refrigerants and ammonia refrigeration systems while maintaining proper documentation.
• Train and mentor junior technicians on best practices for equipment repair, system troubleshooting, safety procedures, and proper use of tools like welders and diagnostic meters.

Experience

• Proven construction experience with a strong background in HVAC installation or service technician roles.
• Extensive field service experience working on HVAC/R systems in commercial or residential settings.
• Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, building automation systems, and mechanical systems repair.
• Knowledge of electrical diagnostics, refrigeration technology including ammonia refrigeration systems, plumbing connections, welding techniques, and boiler operation.
• Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; experience with HVAC/R equipment repair is highly preferred.
• Mechanical knowledge complemented by experience in property maintenance or appliance repair is advantageous.
• Ability to operate a driver vehicle safely; experience with electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters is essential.
