Lead Highway Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Lead Highway Engineer to lead highway and road design activities within our engineering consultancy team. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership, supervise highway design engineers and coordinate road design with other infrastructure disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead highway and road design from concept through detailed design.

· Manage and supervise Highway Design Engineers.

· Design and review horizontal and vertical road alignments.

· Review road geometry, profiles, cross-sections and junction layouts.

· Design and review intersections, roundabouts and access arrangements.

· Coordinate highway design with drainage, utilities, traffic, structures and geotechnical disciplines.

· Review engineering calculations, drawings and technical reports.

· Provide technical guidance to design engineers and CAD/BIM teams.

· Review client and authority comments and coordinate responses.

· Participate in design reviews and value-engineering exercises.

· Identify design risks and recommend appropriate solutions.

· Support preparation of tender and construction documentation.

· Ensure designs comply with applicable Qatar standards and project requirements.

Requirements

· Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.

· Minimum 12 years of highway/road design experience.

· Strong experience in engineering consultancy.

· Proven experience leading highway design teams.

· Excellent knowledge of highway geometric design.

· Strong knowledge of Civil 3D and/or relevant highway design software.

· Qatar/GCC experience is strongly preferred.

· Excellent English communication skills.

Preferred

· Experience with major infrastructure projects.

· Knowledge of Qatar highway design requirements.

· Professional engineering registration or equivalent qualification.
