Waypoint is looking for a Lead Host / Restaurant Supervisor who knows that great hospitality starts before the first sip, bite, or cocktail hits the table.

You’re the person who can walk into a busy dining room, take one look around, and somehow know exactly what needs to happen next. You’re warm without being fake, organized without being boring, and confident enough to lead a team while still jumping in wherever the action is.

Our restaurant is award-winning, fast-paced, energetic, and deeply committed to making people feel taken care of. We’re looking for someone who wants to be part of that magic — and who genuinely enjoys the beautiful chaos of a busy restaurant.

What You’ll Do

• Be the welcoming face of the restaurant and set the tone from the moment guests walk through the door
• Lead the host team and help keep the entire front-of-house operation running smoothly
• Manage reservations, seating flow, waitlists, guest communication, and the occasional seating puzzle that requires the strategic thinking of a chess grandmaster
• Support servers, bartenders, managers, and the broader FOH team during service
• Keep an eye on the dining room and proactively solve problems before they become problems
• Train, coach, motivate, and hold the team accountable while keeping the energy positive
• Handle guest questions, concerns, and special requests with grace and good judgment
• Help create a restaurant culture where people work hard, have fun, and actually like coming to work
• Jump into the action when service gets busy — because “that’s not my job” is not really our vibe

You’re Probably Our Person If...

• You have restaurant hosting, serving, supervisory, or management experience
• You genuinely love hospitality and making people feel welcome
• You can stay calm when the reservation book looks like it’s actively plotting against you
• You’re exceptionally organized and notice the little things
• You communicate clearly and confidently
• You’re comfortable leading a team while also being part of the team
• You have great instincts with guests and know how to read a room
• You bring energy, personality, and a sense of humor to the workplace
• You take pride in doing things well — even when nobody is watching
