Lead Hostess -Host

The Lead Hostess is responsible for orchestrating a seamless, warm, and polished arrival and departure experience for every guest. This role owns the floor during service, executing seating and pacing at the highest level, while working closely with the Guest Experience & Events Manager, who oversees reservations, host team training, and scheduling.

This is a hands-on, guest-facing role suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced fine dining environment, has a genuine passion for hospitality, and takes pride in creating memorable guest experiences from the moment someone walks through the door.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serve as the senior presence at the front desk during service, managing seating, pacing, and floor flow to optimize the guest experience and table turns
• Model excellence in guest interaction, professionalism, and appearance standards for the host team
• Execute the reservations book (OpenTable) during service, including seating, managing walk-ins, and handling VIP notations and special requests as directed
• Serve as a point of escalation for guest concerns during service, resolving issues with grace, discretion, and a solutions-oriented mindset
• Coordinate closely with the Guest Experience & Events Manager on VIP arrivals, and special events or private dining bookings
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date guest profiles and preferences to personalize repeat visits
• Uphold grooming, uniform, and presentation standards for the host team
• Support opening and closing side-work, including pre-shift reservation prep and end-of-night reporting
• Step in as a working host/hostess on the floor every shift. This is not an administrative role

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 3 years of experience in fine dining or upscale casual hospitality setting as a lead hostess.
• Prior experience with reservation platforms required (OpenTable strongly preferred; SevenRooms a plus)
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the composure to manage high-pressure, high-volume service
• Strong organizational skills and close attention to detail
• Professional, polished presence with a genuine hospitality mindset
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to stand and move for extended periods during service.
