Lead HVAC Installer

St. Louis, MO | Full Time | On Site | $35 to $45 per hour

About The Company Our client is a long established residential and commercial HVAC contractor serving the St. Louis area, handling installations, replacements, and service for homeowners and businesses. They have a strong local reputation for quality work. Steady demand is driving the need for two Lead Installers, and they are ready to hire right away.

About The Role The Lead HVAC Installer runs residential and light commercial installs from start to finish. You will lead a small crew, own the quality of every job, and make sure each system is set, started, and running properly before handoff to the customer.

Responsibilities

• Lead residential changeouts and new installs, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ductless systems
• Set and install light commercial rooftop units up to 30 tons, including curbs, ductwork connections, and gas and electrical hookups
• Direct helpers and installers on site and keep jobs clean, safe, and on schedule
• Braze refrigerant lines, pressure test, evacuate, and charge systems
• Start up, test, and troubleshoot new equipment before handoff
• Communicate professionally with customers and the office throughout each job

Required

• 7+ years of HVAC installation experience, including time leading a crew
• Proven light commercial RTU installation experience plus residential install work
• Strong hands on skills with brazing, refrigerant handling, and startup procedures
• Stable work history
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record

Preferred

• Journeyman license
• EPA 608 certification
• Experience with ductless and heat pump systems
• Crane lift and RTU setting experience
