Lead Inclusion Support Practitioner

Overview

As Lead Inclusion Support Practitioner, you will help children take part in learning and play in a supportive, inclusive environment. You will guide colleagues in adapting activities to children’s individual needs and work closely with families and the wider team.

Responsibilities

• Support children’s communication, learning and development through inclusive teaching, tutoring and play.
• Use positive behaviour management and, where appropriate, applied behaviour analysis strategies agreed with the team.
• Adapt activities involving early learning, maths and physical education to suit different abilities.
• Mentor colleagues and share practical approaches to childcare, toddler care and preschool support.
• Your impact: By helping children access activities and communicate their needs, you support their confidence and participation alongside their peers.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children; preschool experience and knowledge of early childhood education or special education are valuable.
• Strong communication skills and an ability to work collaboratively with children, families and colleagues.
• Experience in teaching, speech therapy, tutoring, behaviour support or applied behaviour analysis is welcome.
• Experience teaching physical education, mentoring, toddler care or proofreading learning materials is also useful.

Pay: £26,174.00 per year
