Lead Industrial Engineer (Asst. Manager) - Lead capacity planning activities

The role is responsible for capacity planning, shop floor layout optimization, and factory expansion scenario development to support business growth, manufacturing efficiency, and cost competitiveness.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead capacity planning activities to ensure delivery against business requirements while optimizing manufacturing efficiency and cost.
• Develop, refine, and continuously improve capacity planning methodologies to enhance responsiveness to customer demand and business changes.
• Monitor manufacturing process performance and capacity parameters, ensuring assumptions are clearly defined and validated to deliver accurate and effective capacity planning results.
• Identify capacity constraints and bottlenecks; provide in-depth analysis and actionable recommendations for improvement.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that optimize capacity utilization and maximize return on investment (ROI).
• Plan, prioritize, and allocate resources efficiently to support business goals and operational requirements.
• Support factory expansion and improvement initiatives through simulation, capacity modeling, manning analysis, facility design, and productivity improvements.
• Provide IE support to engineering and manufacturing operations, including work-study analysis, process flow optimization, and operational modeling.
• Implement and leverage systems, tools, and digital solutions to improve IE efficiency and ensure effective execution by the team.
• Partner and communicate effectively with manufacturing operations, quality, engineering, facilities, and corporate IE teams (CIE).
• Prepare and deliver clear, concise, and data-driven presentations to support executive-level decision making.
• Mentor, coach, and develop IE team members to build strong technical and leadership capabilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor of Industrial Engineering or equivalent engineering discipline.

Experience

• 8+ years of experience in Industrial Engineering within multinational companies.
• 5+ years of experience managing teams of Industrial Engineers and direct reports.
• Proven experience leading Operational Excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience developing and tracking KPIs for operational and team performance.
• Strong background in Lean manufacturing, structured problem-solving, and data-driven decision making.
• Semiconductor or Hi-Tech industry experience is required, including Backend Assembly & Test operations.
