Lead Industrial Maintenance Technician

About the Role

As a Lead Industrial Maintenance Technician, you will serve as a critical technical resource responsible for ensuring the peak performance and reliability of our production infrastructure. You will leverage your expertise in mechanical and electrical systems to drive operational uptime and optimize equipment efficiency across our facility.

Responsibilities

• Execute comprehensive preventative maintenance and complex repairs on high-speed automation and production machinery.
• Diagnose and resolve intricate mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues to minimize production downtime.
• Utilize advanced troubleshooting skills to maintain electrical components, including VFDs, servo motors, and PLC-controlled systems.
• Manage spare parts inventory and maintenance documentation through digital asset management software to ensure accurate reporting.
• Collaborate with production teams to provide technical support and facilitate equipment set-ups for optimal output.
• Mentor junior staff members on technical best practices and safety protocols to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Maintain a high standard of workplace safety and organization, ensuring all equipment modifications meet regulatory compliance.

Required Skills

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in industrial maintenance environments.
• Proficiency in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, including VFDs and servo systems.
• Must possess a personal set of professional-grade tools and demonstrate safe handling techniques.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on collaborative problem-solving.

Preferred Skills

• Associate degree in a technical or engineering-related field.
• Direct experience maintaining equipment within the plastics manufacturing industry.
• Advanced knowledge of PLC programming and logic diagnostics.
