About the Role:

Viola & Virsies Learning in Zanesville, OH is looking for a passionate and nurturing Lead Infant Teacher to join their dedicated team! Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement age-appropriate developmental activities for infants in a classroom setting
• Provide attentive, responsive care including feeding, diapering, and soothing infants throughout the day
• Observe and document infant milestones, behaviors, and developmental progress
• Communicate regularly and professionally with parents and guardians regarding their child's daily activities and growth
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized infant classroom environment in compliance with licensing standards
• Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and classroom aides
• Build warm, trusting relationships with infants and their families to support secure attachment

Requirements:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
• Previous experience working with infants in a licensed childcare or early learning setting
• Knowledge of infant developmental milestones and best practices in infant care
• Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to pass a background check in accordance with Ohio childcare licensing requirements
• Strong communication skills and a warm, patient, nurturing demeanor
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and lead classroom staff effectively
