Lead InfantTeacher

Little Lotus Preschool is seeking a warm, dependable Lead Infant Teacher to nurture our youngest learners. We are a play-based, nature-inspired preschool that values responsive care, positive guidance, and strong relationships with families.

Responsibilities:

• Provide attentive, loving care while following each infant’s feeding, diapering, and sleep routines.
• Plan developmentally appropriate activities that support movement, sensory exploration, communication, and connection.
• Maintain active supervision, accurate child counts, and a safe, clean classroom.
• Follow safe sleep practices and all applicable childcare licensing requirements.
• Record bottles, meals, diapers, naps, activities, and photos in Brightwheel.
• Communicate respectfully with families and guide classroom assistants through consistent routines and teamwork.

Qualifications:

• Experience caring for infants in a licensed childcare setting; lead teacher experience preferred.
• Understanding of infant development, responsive caregiving, and safe sleep.
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to meet required background screening and training requirements.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it.

Our approach: We comfort babies when they need us, respond to their individual cues, and build trust through gentle, consistent care. We do not use cry-it-out practices or screens.
