Lead Infrastructure Engineer

Viper Group is looking for Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer to manage customer Data Center operations, servers, backups, DR/BCP, network infrastructure, firewalls, and day-to-day troubleshooting across head office (Islamabad) and regional sites (Lahore & Karachi).

The role includes one-time implementation tasks and ongoing maintenance activities, with full responsibility for documentation, monitoring, reporting, and SLA-based service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Center & Server Management

• Manage servers, networks, cloud infrastructure, and core IT systems
• Configure and troubleshoot LAN/WAN, routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls, DNS, and DHCP
• Monitor infrastructure performance and resolve complex technical issues
• Manage security, access controls, patching, and infrastructure hardening
• Handle backup, restoration, and disaster recovery processes
• Support infrastructure upgrades, deployments, and maintenance
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams
• Provide technical guidance and leadership to infrastructure team members

Network Infrastructure & Security

• 5+ years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure, networking, systems, or IT operations
• Strong hands-on experience with networking, server administration, and cloud infrastructure
• Understanding of IT security, monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and team leadership skills
• Microsoft 365 , cloud and Azure

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in IT/Computer Science or equivalent.
• Preferred Certifications (Not mandatory):
• MCSA/MCSE
• VMware or Firewall certifications
• ITIL awareness is a plus
• Hands-on experience with:
• Windows Server, Active Directory, DHCP/DNS
• Virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V/Proxmox)
• Firewalls (Fortinet/Sophos/Palo Alto/Cisco)
• DR/BCP, backups, logs, and preventive maintenance
• Strong documentation and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to travel for periodic work

This is an onsite job at Islamabad with flexible timings and rotating shifts in US/Australia and PK timeziones (Monday to Friday)
